Type of a scam Tax Collection

The Sunset Maple Poodles are beautiful little puppies that are being sold at very over priced range. From the get go you are advertised that each of the puppies will cost $2,000 each, which was no problem… at first. Then a couple weeks later as your watching your puppies grow, you then get sent a email asking whether or not you want full AKC breeding rights.(because it doesn’t come with your overpriced puppy) How much does it cost? An extra whopping $1,000.

They are taking every advantage of manipulating inexperienced consumers who are interested in buying from such breeders. A couple weeks before I was suppose to bring the newest addition to my family home, I got an email on May 13, 2019 after picking the dog I wanted to bring home that I needed to pay another $140 dollars in what Laura Moore Godek called sales tax (this is not a store I remind you) to cover their taxes that they don’t want to pay themselves, which would mean that the price of $2,000 was now raised to $2,140 without AKC breeding rights. She emailed me the receipt that she made up herself and we were confused as to why it costed more than what we were falsely advertised. We’ve talked to puppy stores such as Uncle Bill’s and other breeders we have bought from and they all agree that these puppies are being sold at a very high and ridiculous price.

I paid a $200 deposit on a credit card, to ensure that I had a spot on their waiting list website at www.sunsetmaplepoodles.com and we were falsely advertised on puppyfinder.com. No where on her website does she exclaim clear information on sales tax cost. She has a lack of information which again is very misleading, a false advertisement and can be very concerning whether or not if she is breeding for better care of puppies and the line of Standard Poodles or in it for the money, which in my opinion from what Ive experienced and learned about breeding businesses such as these, can put dogs at risk of not getting proper safe homes and better care that is needed.
