I was told I had won a gift card from Amazon, but I needed to fill out a survey. I started filling out the survey, and I was told I had won a free gift – I chose a skin care product and paid $4.95 for shipping. As I continued the survey, but before I finished, I was inundated with about 50 phone calls to my cell phone; to this day I continue to get a few calls a day- even though I continue to block the calls. Well, about 3 weeks later, I notice a debit on my bank account for $98.42. I called and spoke to the representative because frankly I had no idea where this purchase came from. As I was speaking to the representative, they first offered to credit my account 30% – I said I was informing the BBB, because nowhere did it say I had 14 days to use as a trial – and/or to cancel. The survey clearly said "free product". On my confirmation email it did say "trial", but it did not give number of days or say that my card would be charged for the next 30 day shipment. I agreed to a 50% refund – I believe the best I could get.
