Alphafrenchies.com has a websites free from obvious errors and is ascetically pleasing. We contacted the owners via email on the website about a french bull dog. We were contacted back immediately with information on the puppy. I had to reply and answer 2 questions. What is my experience with dogs? How quickly do I want the dog? I replied quickly as we wanted the dog for our daughter’s birthday this weekend. Their reply was an invoice, I thought they were being considerate of my urgency.
They explained to pay them through WalMart and do the 10 min. money gram. I didn’t think twice, because I was the one requesting a quick sale.
We did the money gram and contacted the seller. They replied with "thanks we’ll get you paper work". I started becoming nervous, I should receive the paper work immediately. We looked back online and found a phone number for the company ( I had assumed we were dealing with the breeder). The company confirmed that they are not associated with any of the names we received and that we are not the first to call with a similar story.
The owner of the legitimate company asked about specific information; however; we did not give him the information he asked if xxxxxxxxxx was the number, address etc.
We then immediately called and canceled the money gram and received a full refund. The fraudulent company emailed me once and then texted twice to make sure I was paying. The next contact I had with the fraudulent company was them repeatedly asking for the money, he was not able to cash the money gram we had canceled. I did not want to give any information, so I explained that our funds fell through. He continued to text about when I would get him the money. I finally said, I will contact you and he has appeared to have let it go.
