Type of a scam Employment

I had received an email regarding a interview for a job. They (Jessica Youngblood) requested that I log on to google hangout where the interview was to be conducted. I chatted with them on a Thursday 10/18/2018 and they told me that the company has decided to hire me as one of their staff. They proceed to tell me about the "Duties & Responsibility and Benefits". She said I would receive and Employment offer letter via email the next day. The next day (Friday) I had to log back on to Hangout and she advise me to check my email – sign the letter and email it back to the email which it was sent. She stated that I would receive a check in the mail. Once I receive the check I were to deposit it into my account. Let her know when I had deposited the check then she refer me to the local vendor to purchase the working equipment to start the training. On Monday Jessica contacted me on Hangout stating I would receive an appointment letter via email and the hard copy would be mail to me. And make sure I contact her when I received the check.
