Type of a scam Employment

They had a initial job posting on Indeed for a “Standard File Clerk” (as well as many other job sites that I’ve found looking them up), from there they contacted me by email by a woman named “Samantha Hazel”. They stated that they had seen my resume and would like to set up an interview with me “immediately”. I was told to contact the hiring manager named Mrs. Mckenzie Taylor via Google Hangouts instant messaging. She interviewed me the next day via the instant messaging and asked me standard interview questions such as “why should we employ you? tell me about yourself, etc.”. She asked me how I would like to be paid either weekly biweekly or weekly and either by direct deposit or wire transfer. She told me initially I would be working from home starting immediately the following day as they were going to overnight ship me a laptop, tax forms and a check to buy all of the supplies for the job (printer, fax machine, wifi, computer programs). She hired me in the same interview. It was later when I was trying to look up their website I saw that the link and name they gave me did not exist. There is no website for “www.lasofanna.net” it is not a domain yet. Looking up their company I could not find any information about them except job listings on every other job site imaginable. Looking them up on ScamPulse.com only found one not verified business called LaSofanna, with an address that is a house in Arizona. One of the only things that came up in images was a news article about job scams being posted this year which had similar stories to what I experienced. I believe they were trying to either steal my money or my identity or have me commit check fraud.
