Total money lost $172.83
Type of a scam Online Purchase
In January 2020, I received an e-mail from Amazon telling me that I have been a loyal customer, and I can take advantage of free products from the list in the email. There were various products in this email, one of them being some skin cream. The offer was to get this free product and I just pay shipping and handling. I provided my financial information and I did receive my free product in the mail. In March 2020 almost 2 full months later I was charged $172.83 for skin cream on my debit card. I notified my bank, actually they notified me through fraud prevention services. I let them know that I did not authorize this charge and I did not know where it was coming from…as it was listed as SKINCAREHEALTHYBEAUTY0, WESTMINISTER CA. This has been under dispute with Golden 1 Credit Union. Today 4/16/2020 I was notified by Golden 1 that my dispute was not going to be honored and there was no findings, because La Pura has proof or documentation that I signed up for a trial membership. This obviously is NOT the case, and they are lying. OR they cleverly are fraudulently creating documentation, or being sneaky with the way they advertise a free gift, and do not tell you that your information will be used for a trial membership. This is questionable and fraudulent business practices. Even if I did order skin cream after my “free gift” where is the product?? I was never sent any product that they claimed I ordered. I refuse to eat the cost of $172.83 for something I never signed up for, nor received!!!!!!!!
