Total money lost $500
Type of a scam Online Purchase
I have been emailing with Lamina Schnauzers about purchasing a puppy from them and was wondering if you could tell me if they are legimate. I believe they are puppy scammers. They asked for money to be sent and they would send me a puppy. They wanted me to use Zelle to pay them and I tried to send them $500, part of the cost of the dog. They said the transaction didn’t go through to their bank so they wanted me to cancel the Zelle payment and then they asked for a gift card from me. I was to take a picture of the front and the back and a picture of my paid receipt and email that to them. Red flags are waving all over the place. Upon digging a little, I discovered the airline they use is located in Bangladesh. They emailed about the money again so I told them I decided to come pick up the puppy myself and they told me they only allow visitors if I pay a $450 deposit. I received another email a few hours later asking if I was still interested in the dog because they could only hold it until the next morning. I told them I needed more time to think about it. Now I am out $500 and I don’t have a new puppy.
Here is the email address they use: Schnauzer Home [email protected] Here is there website URL: https://laminaschnauzerhome.com/ and here is a phone number 1 (616) 319-3741. This is the address they gave me: 1306 Wolf Run Drive, Lansing, MI 48917. I would like you to check this out and put a stop to them. Thank you for looking into this potential scammer for me. I caught on but not fast enough. I’m sure there are many others who have been taken advantage of by these people.
I looked up puppy scams on the internet and there was a complaint filed last year with a company called Lamera Schnauzers and their website was called Lameraschnauzerhome.com. This has to be the same people running the scam but they changed a couple of letters in their name.
