Type of a scam Debt Collections
We received a call claiming to be the LA Department of Water and Power saying that our power would be disconnected. I called back and they said we would have to go to a payment center to obtain a MoneyPak card. They then asked for the scratcher number on the back of the card. This is a scam that was used in Florida and California. I was able to redeposit the amount in my bank account before they could debit the MoneyPak card.
