Type of a scam Online Purchase

I wanted to order delivery from one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Boise, Idaho. I got online and found their Facebook page (in the link) where a link is posted to their website. I clicked this link and followed through to order my meal for pickup (due to Covid). I went to the restaurant to pick up my order, where they told me there was no such order. The hostess there told me it had been happening to several customers and there was nothing they could do about it.

I went home and checked the link again and discovered the link on the Facebook page (which is for the restaurant in Boise) actually links to a restaurant by the same name in Martinez, California. I called that restaurant in Martinez and the hostess there could not help me. I said I would call back the next day. I then called the Boise restaurant again, and told them the link in their Facebook page was wrong. The hostess then told me their Facebook page has been hacked and they no longer have access to it. I asked her why they hadn ‘t worked with Facebook to take it down yet. She said "You can’t get mad at us because a hacker took over our page!"

Looking at the Facebook page, it appears no one has posted to it since March 21. I would assume it is about then access was taken away from the rightful owners. Why the page is still up, I cannot explain. It seems to me they would be much more interested in getting their access back than the hostess indicated.

I have no reason to believe La Tapatia (in either location) is behind this scam, but it is a scam nonetheless. The Martinez restaurant let the charge go through. I am currently working with my bank to have the charge denied.
