Type of a scam Tech Support

A screen came on my computer stating that they were with Microsoft and that they could fix my computer which supposedly was locked and had issues and there was an 855 number that I needed to call to identify what was going on. They then gave me a different number to reach them on in the future and said that the 855 number was a number that Microsoft issued and it goes to different providers however if I wanted to reach them again I would need to dial 8009714498 number. They then tried to sell me tech support for one time fee of 49.99 or a year fee of 149.99 or a 3-year fee of 249.99 or unlimited support for 299.99. Even asked for your name your email your address your phone and pulled up a notepad after they run a scan two Circle a bunch of things that they claim were wrong with your computer. They said we could pay with PayPal or an E-Check. He then stated they would send me an invoice when the technician was done fixing the computer/completed. He asked if I would be using a Visa or MasterCard and then on the notepad was suggesting that I enter my information. Of which I did not do. Once my husband came home we purchased a Norton product installed it and there was no problem with our computer detected. Beware of this company claiming to be a Microsoft partner.

There was a message on my computer that there was someone who was trying to steal my identity. The message appeared to be from Microsoft. I paid the fee for them to clear the threat. I was told that they needed me to purchase ITunes cards so they could access a certain software to clear the threat, and I would be refunded for the cards. I stupidly did this. Now they are telling me that I need to buy more of the cards to get the refund.
