Type of a scam Home Improvement
Sorry for the capital letters, this is the review I left on their Yellow Pages profile that sums up what I know about this "company":
"THIS IS NOT A REAL ROOFING COMPANY!!! THIS IS A FRONT FOR HOME ADVISOR. I work for a local (Reno/Sparks, NV) commercial roofing company that does not do residential work and this company keeps forwarding people to our phone number despite us telling Home Advisor many times that we don’t do residential work. This "Loyal Roofing"’s website definitely is being made to look like a real roofing company and it is NOT. It’s not technically a scam, more a middle man situation, but certainly not honest! I’m trying to figure out a way to report them to BBB or find other sites like Yelp, Google etc to add reviews/warn people/report them but of course they aren’t listed on much else. DO NOT USE!"
As I said I work for a local roofing company (Alpine Roofing Co., Inc.). This front for Home Advisor has been acting like a legitimate roofing company. They certainly don’t make it known that they are a middle man and other reviews on their yellow pages profile show that people then get spam calls/texts a lot after calling "Loyal Roofing". I have had 2 confused people somehow forwarded directly to my company’s phone number after calling the Loyal Roofing number. I know this is not technically a "scam" but more of a dishonest business practice on Home Advisors part, but I assume there could be something behind the scenes where H.A. is profiting somehow through these dishonest practices. I plan on calling the number shortly to demand we be removed from there list of providers. Even though I have declined MANY times in the past when they have called our business as H.A. requesting we do their work.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
