I received a restricted phone call from a person who claimed to be with LPS. He said I was bring sued and had missed the mailed summons. He gave an address where I have not lived for over 10 years. However, my family still lives there and would have notified me of mail. When I asked him to tell me what the acronym LPS stands for he refused. He gave me this number to call. He said he would put a 2 hour hold on my account and I had to call by then otherwise they would issue a failure to appear in court. He would not tell me which court was supposedly summoning me. A few days later my secretary at work received a call from a man who identified himself as *** ***. He gave her the same phone number and said he was putting a 2 hour hold again. She said she could hear a lot of background noise as if it was a call center. I called the number and the phone was picked up but no one said anything. At this point I decided it is not a legitimate law firm and hung up the phone.

I received several calls that came up "no called I’d" on my cellphone so I didn’t answer them. The voicemails they left said that they were with LPS and were attempting to set up delivery of legal documents. They said they’d attempted to deliver the documents but there was refusal to sign on my behalf. They then said I had 2 hours to call back and resolve this issue and pay their legal fee. When I did call back the number they provided (213 915 4696) they said I was being sued by a hospital in the town where I live for an unpaid balance. Honestly don’t know the last time I’ve been to the hospital. Also I’m almost positive I’ve never even been to that hospital.

I keep getting calls from blocked numbers, telling me they are taking legal action if I dont call NOW. My husband has received the same calls for "me". To my knowledge I owe no deliquent debt that would cause legal action. When we call the number they leave, which is a California phone number, it goes to a voicemail that simply says "Please leave a message!" Today we got another call from a company called LPS, said someone refused to sign some legal documents I am being served with, they called from a blocked number, and told me to call another number back with a claim number. Said I have 2hrs to call back and to call NOW! The number I am asked to call is 213-357-2294.

They want Last four of Social, date of birth and address.

Don’t give them anything. I asked for the company name and address and they refused. I asked how they got my information and they hung up.

Claimed I owned a property in Boston. I’ve never been anywhere near Boston.
