My husband and I purchased a dachshund puppy from the Lucy’s Dachshund website. They asked that we send the money via CashApp, which we did. The cost was $750 for the puppy and shipping to California. After payment was made, we were contacted by their "shipping company" (Speed Point Carriers) who told us we would have to send another $1000 to $2000 to "rent" a carrier for the puppy. We were instructed to send that money via CashApp or to buy $500 American Express gift cards and send pictures of them with a picture of the receipt to them. If we didn’t the puppy would be sent to the "abandoned items" department. We received several phone calls throughout the day instructing us to make the payment. They could not answer any of our questions and we refused payment. I requested a refund from Lucy’s Dachshunds and was refused.
