I fell for the $4.95 online intro trial for Lavette from Megan Markel. I was charged the $4.95 twice; one from silksmoothface & the other from skin healthwrinkleserum. Then 2 weeks later second charge from both companies hit my account, one for $89.92 & the other for $84.95. I don’t know how to get a hold of either company. So I called my bank, shut my card down and have to dispute these charges. Please DO NOT buy this product. You’ll be sorry.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I wanted to purchase some face cream from Lavette. I filled out the shipping & billing info and before I hit submit I read all of the terms and conditions … they were very misleading … NOWHERE in the terms did it ever say what the monthly amount would be IF I chose to continue with the product. Instead, it just had a dollar sign with no amounts, I became instantly suspicious. I closed the terms and looked to cancel my order which clearly stated it had not been completed yet. There was no cancel button, and since my credit card info had already been given I was uncomfortable just hitting the back button. The website stated emphatically at the top of the page that my order had NOT been processed as they were trying to sell me a 2nd product. At the bottom of that page, I was given the option to chose to DECLINE the offer, which I did. Then a 3rd product was offered, again alerting me that my order had not been processed and I AGAIN chose to DECLINE.

Unfortunately, after DECLINING a 2nd time their website advised me my order had been placed and, (in very small transparent print it was mentioned that if I chose to continue I would be billed $89+/-/month.)

Beware of dealing with an organization that uses these types of tactics to trick, mislead, manipulate their customers.

I have emailed my displeasure and immediate cancellation and I will be calling first thing in the morning to follow up. There is no excuse other than pure trickery for the way they have set up their website. Colorado needs to fine them or shut them down if possible.
