I was called by this company and told they had received my resume through ZipRecruiter. They did not specify for which position.
When I arrived, 3 other people had been in and out of the "interview" within the 10 minutes that I had been sitting down.
When I asked what position I was called in for, Dan couldn’t answer and asked me what kind of job I wanted. I asked him who there knows what position I had applied for and he told me the HR manager. I asked him to go ask her. He told me she said I had applied for "management training". I told Dan that I have never applied for anything other than science and engineering positions, and that I had been contacted by legitimate companies.
I asked Dan if "we were done here", and he said "well if you don’t think you’ll be a good fit". A good fit for what, Dan? You lured me and 5 other people to that office under false pretense.
I asked another person there for an "interview" who was walking out what they told her she was there for, and she gave me an equally confusing look and reply. She didn’t know either.
This is a bait and switch marketing operation that attempts to lure job seekers into their office under the guise of an application on Zip Recruiter, probably to get the job seeker to sign over part of their compensation. A legitimate corporate recruiter will contact you about a specific job code.
