An automated woman is on the phone telling you that your VerizonWireless account is suspended and press “1” to fix it. My husband clicked 1 and it’s an Indian man asking for information. My husband hung up but then we got a text that our info we input into our account manager got denied. We didn’t go into our account manager… (we pay our bill through the Verizon wireless app…) I called Verizon wireless and they told me that it sounds like a scam and we should change our password and PIN number attached to our account. This same number called myself and my husband.

On the morning of Sept 4, 2019 I was in the airport in Florida waiting on my plane when I received a call from who I believed to be Verizon telling me that my account had been hacked and asked me for my email address and password. I was told that 2 phones had been ordered and I informed the person that I had not ordered any phones. Which I gave them I had no other reasons to think anything different. I received a call on the morning of Sept 5, 2019 telling me that 2 phone had been ordered and where delivered to my address. Again I told her that I had not ordered any phones. I was instructed that I will be be getting an email that would have a returned label in order to return the phones to who I believed to be from Verizon. She called repeatedly to inquiry if I got the return label. I informed her that I did and would return when I was able to get to the Post Office. I returned the phone with the return label on Saturday Sept 7, 2019> A few weeks later when I got a bill from Verizon for $480.00 if was at that time I realized I had been scam and that I had returned the phones to the person who scam me. I retported the action to Verizon and it was nothing that they could do. My bill was adjusted and my account change as well as my password etc.

Received phone call and when answered an automated message played that my Verizon service had been suspended and I needed to speak with rep to have it restored. I didn’t stay on the line because I knew my service wasn’t suspended and that it was a scam. When I pressed 2 for a rep, I got a fast busy signal and wasn’t connected to anyone.

I was called by this number twice but did not answer. The number shows up through *** as a good Verizon number. A message was left saying my account had been suspended. Press 1 to speak to a customer service representative. I did not give any information or even talk to these people. I called Verizon myself and was told my account was in good standing and there was no truth to any of this. I was advised by Verizon to block the number and to make sure no personal information was given.

"Keith" called in claiming to be from Verizon Wireless saying we were overcharged on data for the previous month. We could be credited on the account or mailed a check but they would need to verify Username/login details to do so.

A person called my cell phone and identified himself as a person from Verizon wireless. He wanted to verify a recent purchase on my account of of 2 iphone 7’s. When I told him I didn’t order them, he said he would stop the order and remove it from my account. All I needed to do was answer a few questions. He began with asking for my zip code, then I hung up. I called Verizon to see if this was correct and they informed me that no purchases were pending. The telephone number they called from was 1 digit different from Verizon’s and had a recording with no company name but sounded like the Verizon recording.

Caller stated- She received a call from "not valid reported number" and when she picked up the person stated they were from Verizon Wireless and that she owed $27.00 on her bill that she was short $27.00. Caller stated that she was headed to verizon right now and she will tell them and get it taking care of. The caller on the other end stated NO don’t do that if you give me your credit card information I can take of it now and go ahead and get your bill cleared. She said no thank you. He then proceeds to say that after she hangs up her phone will be disconnected. She did report this to Verizon as well and they are aware of the scam.
