I needed to renew my Global Entry card. I entered “global entry renewal” into Google and the top result linked me to a website that appeared in every way to be an official website to renew the card. I entered a great deal of personal information – credit card, passport, employment history, address history – and was directed to pay a processing fee. After I entered all information and made the payment thru visa message appeared stating that this payment was not through a government website. I immediately blocked by credit cards and locked my credit report as I believe my information was compromised through this website.

I applied for Global Entry and searched through Google. This website was at the top of the list, and I completed all information, including passport, address, credit card. It then had me pay for the Global Entry fee, but then wanted $150 for a processing fee. I am concerned it was all a scam.

I was trying to renew my Global Entry card. I googled Global Entry and the first hit was applyforglobalentry.com and I clicked on it and the site looked just like the government Global Entry site and I entered all my critical data:

Name

Address

Phone Number

email

DOB

all passport information

all Global Entry information

all drivers license information

a valid credit card with all information with $100 for Global Entry renew – card since canceled

when it asked for $139 processing fee via Pay Pal I became concerned and then realized that I had been scammed. I could not get back into the site and didn’t want to at that point.

Tis site popped up at the top of my google search when I was looking to renew my global entry application. It seemed legit until the end, but I thought it was weird I didn’t get a confirmation email. I soon found out they are a third party scam website, and now they have my personal information.

This website poses as the US govt website for signing up for a global entry appointment, and they are actually just scamming your personal info. I feel so stupid I fell for this. My husband realized something was up when I told him about a $139 service fee I had to pay for my global entry app and we learned something was amiss. I have had to freeze all my credit reports, cancel my credit card. report fraud to paypal, etc, They should be banned!

Searched for global entry and found this site which looked legit – until the end. Then realized I had just given them all my information, not to mention $140. Now I get to try to undo the damage. What a sick feeling!

This website is deceiving due to the similar logo as the government website: https://applyforglobalentry.com/

The image is similar to the real Global Entry logo.

If you need to apply for Global Entry, then I encourage you to go directly to this website: https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/

I searched in google for global entry and this was the first link populated, the pngage looks well constructed and I started follow the process and putting my personal information in, and provided payment in both paypal and credit card. However, it seems strange to me that there is no confirmation email for the completion and I noticed some typo on the pngage. Then I happen to know that was a scan website.
