Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I have two loans with Ben Franklin Finance which were supposed to be used for college to get my R.N. When finding out that they were not affiliated with the college Excelsior I canceled and later found out that I would be responsible for the loans even though I wouldn’t use them for college.
The loans are current and listed in my credit report, I feel that this company is targeting LPNs locking them into loans that are unethical.
Please help stop this company from fraudulently taking advantage of good people.
I am going through the same thing! They used my information without my knowledge to take out a 10,000 dollar loan that I never signed up for! Did you ever get a resolution to this? I just found out today and have reported them to the BBB, the federal trade commission and the dept. of Banking. I will be getting an attorney next if this isn’t resolved quickly
