This Domain Registry is a SCAM business trying to get me to renew my DOMAIN with them. I am smart enough to remember that my real domain costs $18 per year, was purchased from another company, and it renews automatically. This SCAM business wants me to pay $50/year up to $190 for 5 years and provide my credit card number. The SCAMMER sent this letter to me two months before my actual domain expires so I will foolishly "renew" thru them instead of my real provider. And of course, we all know that it would not really be renewing anything at all. It would be sending my money and my credit card info to a SCAMMER! I didn’t provide any information to this FAKE company but they sure did know plenty about me, including my full name, street address, zip code and domain name.

This company sends bills regularly for domain renewals, however we have not purchased anything from them, and they are completely fraudulent. I’m afraid of how many people don’t know what they’re doing and send money to these awful people. – ****

The scammer sent an invoice in the mail. The mailer gives the impression that they are currently the domain host. I found the company website so I called them. The individual that answered was defensive from the moment I asked about the invoice. I told him that his mailer was misleading and implied that they are our current host. He told me that I needed to learn how to read and he hung up on me. Please beware of this scam!!

Received two invoice notifications stating that registration for our organization’s domain name will expire and that we should transfer and renew from current Registrar to Domain Registry to retain exclusive rights to it on the web. Failure to renew our domain will result loss of our online identity and domain name. Both invoices had three year term options to choose from and price for each starting from $50.00 to $190.00. Also, the organization can pay for additional domains (e.g. .info and .biz) for a two year term at $90.00 each. Payment is credit card only and must be mailed in the enclosed envelope provided. No additional options (i.e. company website, check payment, phone, etc.) to pay for the invoice other than to mail your credit card information in the enclosed envelope. Additionally, with the exception of a website address of the company, there’s no contact information (i.e. company phone number, address) is provided on the invoice.

Their literature is VERY misleading. They use alarmist headlines to alert you to an issue which is a valid one as far as the customer is concerned. They claim that the literature is "not a bill" but, this is hidden in the body of the text instead of being in bold & capped at the top of the text. They don’t provide a phone number on the notice & they ask you to go to their website www.giv.com to pay for the service. I made the mistake and got charged $190.00. When I tried calling this company to get my money back, I got a mailbox is full message.

I received a mail piece that looks professional but I know for fact that I only use one company for all domain services and renewals. It is setup to renew automatically every year unless I denote otherwise. Report this scam company because I can see many people being duped.

Over the years, I randomly receive a "Domain Name Expiration Notice" from Domain Registry (www.giv.com), for the many domain names that I own. These notices are made to look like real domain renewal invoices. They ask an inflated amount of money for domain renewal. I have called Domain Registry twice and asked to be removed from their mailing list. I consider these notices to be SPAM. This past week I received yet another mailing. I called today and again was very RUDELY spoken to. The agent just kept asking the same question over and over ("what’s your domain") and when I tried to ask this person a question first before my answer, they insisted on the same question and then when I started to say it, he hung up on me.
Today was the worst treatment, usually the call is matter of fact and then I’m hung up on.
After filing a complaint with ICANN, I called back. This time the man wasn’t talking like a robot and said he would remove my address. When I mentioned that I already had called twice before and had documented the calls, and asked were the mailings really going to stop, he said "do what you want with it (the documentation), let it control your life."
I ask that you PLEASE address the matter of this company. Additionally, I have many clients who also receive these notices and believe they are something they need to pay for. I feel this company is TAKING ADVANTAGE of unknowing folks.
I would like for them to be STOPPED from being allowed to collect money in the name of domain registration. HOW IS THIS LEGAL?
I would like for this company to be SHUT DOWN!

Domain Registry uses websites like www.who.is to phish for upcoming renewals for website domains and then send mail out letters to have individuals and businesses sign their domains over to their company. They collect your credit card information as well and attempts to call lead nowhere or to constant hold ques.

My place of business received a domain renewal invoice in the mail. We have an automatic renewal for our domain registry, thus I immediately knew that the letter was suspicious.
They mention that we "must renew (our) domain name", when in fact it is not due for renewal.
They use wording that they can twist to make unsuspecting individuals complete the form as though it is a regular renewal invoice. They mention when our registration will expire when in fact it will not expire on that date.
There is a lot of false information listed on their document.
I did some research and realized that they have scammed others from the past and have gone by other aliases including IDNS.
