Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I applied for a loan on loansion.com and received a call from a man name Max Steven with a telephone number of 1-323-300-5649 ext#101. The first thing he says is I am approved then he ask for identifying information and informs me to scan a copy of my I.D and email it to him at [email protected] and he will immediately issue the check into my bank account. Here were some of the many problems I found odd and which lead to me immediately determining this was a scam. 1. Every on in the background was speaking a foreign language…which sounded like they were from India. 2. He never ran a credit check or even asked for my SS# 3. He wouldn’t answer any of my questions 4. I never gave him my bank name or bank account information so how was he going to deposit it into my account? 5. He also couldn’t do math properly 6. He didn’t understand the difference between gross and net income.
