Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

While online, I came across a recommended website from a friend that said that Seresto had their flea and tick collars on a special early Black Friday sale. I opened the site and began browsing for flea and tick protection for our dogs. The website was well constructed and appeared to be set up by Bayer. I placed items in my virtual basket and proceeded to checkout using Paypal as the payment interface. Within hours I had an invoice from PayPal as well as a shipping order. When I inspected the shipping order, it became obvious that the collars were going to be counterfeit, as they were shipping from China. Paired with a more than 50% discount and the fact that Bayer Seresto Collars are produced in Germany, I emailed the company (which was not at the email address indicated on their website, but another email address provided from PayPal) and asked immediately for a refund. They responded by telling me that they couldn’t refund because the item has already shipped, but that they would be happy to provide me with a partial percentage of a refund once I receive my product. I informed them that I did not wish to receive a counterfeit product from China, and would be making a report to the FBI on the fraudulent online site and product. I have not yet received the product from the company, but intend to turn it over to the authorities when it does arrive.
