Type of a scam Online Purchase
I received an email titled Order Summery from [email protected] saying I purchased a TV and XBox for someone in Alabama and to call 360-227-2077, which my phone indicated it was from Washington, if this was not my order from amazon. I checked for the website and found that it was ‘for sale’. The man I first talked to said that my amazon account was hacked by someone in Alabama, in Ohio, in Texas, and in California. I was told to purchase gift cards to pay for them to block the hackers. The next day the original email was changed to only have an address on it and none of the other information of what was ordered.
